Another instalment in our endeavour to unearth great value wines from Eastern Europe. This is 100% Fetească Neagră aged 12-months in Romanian barrels, not something you'll find every day on the UK market. Look for dried dark fruits and spices.The wine drinks somewhere like a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, plenty of power and best with food. 

Pairing: I like it with a peppery steak, mixed grill, or a platter of Romanian cured meats.
