Petracavallo Verdeca Frizzante 2021, 11%

A lightly sparkling fizzy (called frizzante) from Puglia, in the heel of Italy's boot. Essentially a pet nat, because it finishes its fermentation in the bottle, this is bags of natural wine fun. Made from the lesser-known Verdea grape, this delivers plenty of aromatic freshness with lots of complexity.

Pairing: good at the start of a bbq to kick things off.
